Job Title: Business Development Associate

Job Description

Plaid seeks a Business Development Associate to develop new opportunities, close sales by contacting potential clients directly, assist with marketing efforts, and manage B2B relationships.  The ideal candidate for this position will have proven experience in business development or fundraising and be prepared to move to the next level in their career.  This position is 100% remote, some travel may be required for company meetings and to meet with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage both existing sales pipeline and develop new business opportunities 
  • Identify and research potential new clients
  • Cultivate relationships to secure new business.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Take a lead role in the development of proposals, presentations, and RFP responses 
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure revenue targets are met
  • Gather useful information from customer and competitor data
  • Have a strong understanding of company products and services as well as those of competitors
  • Make and give presentations/demos to prospective clients and internal executives
  • Maintain sales analytics
  • Other duties as needed

Experience and Requirements

  • Successful track record in B2B business development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working experience with sales techniques
  • Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Proven ability to plan and manage resources
  • Comfort in penetrating and cultivating new relationships
  • Able to deliver presentations and comfortable using technology to demonstrate online products
  • Experience with CRM software (i.e., Salesforce)

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Master’s degree in business or higher education (preferred)

Pay: Based salary plus commission
